Who is the agonist athlete ...

At the "more than TENNIS" Academy the competitive athlete is the one who having concluded a first path of technical-tactical-athletic growth, that led him to face the first competitions, individual and in teams, intends to pursue an objective of improvement of his ranking.

Frequently parents ask at what age children can be considered agonists, we are used to answer that it is not the teacher who decides when a boy can be considered such, but rather it is the boys themselves who manifesting greater attention, commitment concentration and ability to understand the teachings of the masters determines their new need.

At "more than TENNIS" Academy we like to speak clearly: without attention, commitment, determination to improve and above all without personal growth goals we cannot speak of competitive athletes but of boys who "attend a competitive tennis course".

What an agonist athlete needs ...

At “more than TENNIS” Academy we like to talk about "athlete who have the necessity of competitive training".

Necessity means: to need someone and something to ....

Our competitive athletes need more attention from the masters who must be able to identify their shortcomings, they need a training program that further develops their previously acquired technical-tactical-athletic skills, they need to schedule tournaments and workouts in line with the programmed objectives.

Above all, they need a high level of awareness of what to do and how much to commit to achieve ambitious goals.

"Athletes are not all the same, their needs are not the same.

We like to help kids to be aware of their strength through the discovery of their talent and to help them improve their skills rather than listening to everyone following the same program waiting for their unconscious growth. "
